Landsec, one of the biggest property groups in the UK, engaged us to create a new brand for its highest performing retail outlet: Gunwharf Quays. The purpose was to fuel its growth and position it as a must-visit destination for affluent customers within a wider catchment than its existing base. We developed a brand strategy that put emphasis on experience and defined an internal culture focused on great hospitality with a commercial flair.

Following the success of the rebrand, we have since been assigned to help Landsec rebrand three other outlets in their portfolio – turning each of them into desirable destinations, with a unique identity to address their specific market. In addition to addressing each outlet on an individual level, we were also asked to define the overarching Landsec Outlets brand proposition to drive common standards and behaviours across the portfolio.

Gunwharf Quays had a record-breaking summer holiday trading period since the brand relaunch and sales have been up overall year on year

The visual identity was inspired by the shape of the sails on the marina and the colours from the coastline

Our multi-year relationship continues- we are currently advising on and developing the detail of Year 3’s plan and supporting with a longer-term brand and strategic development
