BGF (Business Growth Fund) is the UK’s most active investor in growing businesses. Set up in 2011 with £2.5bn to invest in businesses with turnovers between £5m-£100m, they have since backed close to 200 companies.

As with the companies they support, BGF knew they had to keep evolving to stay ahead. Shifting from start-up to scale-up, they invited BrandCap to support with refreshing their brand strategy and identity to reflect their expanded offer, scale and distinctive leadership position. The resounding theme was their deep-seated belief in offering more than capital by being truly invested in the success of the companies they support. This core thought inspired the line ‘Invested in growth’ which now sits below their new logo.

The equals sign in the logo stands for equity, but not in the typical sense. Equity is about much more than capital, it’s a belief in fairness that permeates everything BGF does.
